1. Incorporate Sliding Doors

Opting for sliding doors instead of traditional swing doors can save space and allow for a seamless transition between rooms.

However, we suggest you consider the maintenance that comes with sliding doors. These doors may require more maintenance than traditional doors.

For Example: Tracks can accumulate dirt and debris, making it essential to clean them regularly to ensure smooth operation.

Sliding tracks also typically wear out in ~10 years.

2. Opt for a Platform Bed

Investing in furniture that serves multiple purposes can be particularly useful in small spaces.

One way you can achieve this is by removing walls between the living room and dining area or the kitchen and dining area.

However, be mindful that structural changes may require professional help and could increase costs.

We recommend you consult a qualified contractor to ensure safety and compliance with HDB regulations.

4. The More Functions the Merrier

Investing in furniture that serves multiple purposes can be particularly useful in small spaces.

It can save you money without compromising on your needs.

5. Maximise Your Vertical Space

In a 2 Room Flexi BTO, utilising vertical space is crucial for creating a functional and organised living environment.

When floor space is limited, looking upwards can provide valuable storage solutions and enhance the overall aesthetics of your home.

Tall shelves or cabinets can also draw the eye upward, creating the illusion of higher ceilings.
